Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS comedy Mom. Calvano has a family in California, and initially was fascinated by competitive gymnastics. She later decided to pursue a career in acting. In a CBS"NCIS," the show "NCIS" the actress made her debut in the year 2010. Her big screen debut came a year after with the biographical film "J Edgar". Over the years she's established herself as one of the most promising actors in the industry. In 2011, she was awarded the Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress in TV Series and in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, in recognition of the role of a guest on Disney XD's "Kickin' it comedy show, she received another nomination for a Young Artist Award. Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons. She also made several guest appearances in the fourth season. Her outing in 'Mom' was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in the year 2015.
